Dr. Steve Hecker
Dr. Hecker is a native of West Michigan and is excited and honored to be continuing the foundation of care established by Dr. Hahn. Dr. Hecker is a two-time graduate of the University of Michigan. First as an undergraduate, earning a scholarship on the Michigan Men’s Soccer team and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He attributes his work ethic, discipline, and commitment to excellence to his lifelong athletic experiences.
Dr. Hecker first had a short career as an engineer for Dow Chemical and Stryker. His time as an engineer formed his appreciation for both form and function, and he continues to apply these principles into his dental practice. Dr. Hecker’s desire to build relationships in his community, and make a tangible impact in people’s lives, led him back to dental school.
U of M Dental School provided him with valuable hands-on experience in the highest level clinical setting. There he developed a passion for challenging comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Hecker’s great grandfather and grandfather were born in Hastings, and feels blessed to be returning to a community surrounded by family and friends.
